Vision
Inspiring conservation through birding.
Mission
Travis Audubon Society promotes the enjoyment, understanding,
and conservation of native birds and their habitats.
Overview
Travis Audubon Society was founded by visionary Austinites in 1952.
A chapter of the National Audubon Society, we now have some 2,100
members in the Austin area and beyond. We are a non-profit
corporation with tax-exempt status, governed by a 12-person Board
of Directors and managed by a full-time Executive Director. Many of
our programs and activities are organized and led by a dedicated,
experienced, and highly skilled corps of volunteers.

Travis Audubon
welcomes birders
and naturalists of all
levels, from beginner
to master. You'll find
information and
activities appropriate
to your experience
level. It's a great way
to meet people, too.
While we are a birding
organization, we also
offer programs on
topics from butterflies
to prairie grasses to
nature photography,
and more. Our
members share a love
of wildlife and a desire
to conserve nature.
