| BAKER SANCTUARY STEWARDSHIP DAY February 14, 2009 8:00 - Noon We will line trim the tall grass out of the Orange and Blue Trails in preparation for the Golden-cheecked Warbler Season. If you are interested in helping and can donate your time and a gasoline powered line-trimmer (we furnish gas/oil mix), please meet us at the parking lot at 12221 Lime Creek Road. Volunteers are the backbone of Travis Audubon Society. Each one
helps make our mission of promoting the enjoyment, understanding,
and conservation of native birds and their habitats possible.
Some of the ways you can help:
If you're interested in volunteering in any of our programs, please fill out
our Volunteer Application or contact Jocelyn Taijeron at 512-300-BIRD.

Some of the ways you can help:
- Sanctuary Steward Crews: Help maintain our sanctuaries
through trail maintenance, non-native removal, planting.
- Special Events: If you like to throw a party, this opportunity is for
you. You can help with the Holiday Gala or volunteer
appreciation events.
- Outreach: Staff a booth, make a presentation, or even lead a
field trip.
- Education: Volunteer to teach fledging birders what you know
about birds at Youth Birding Camp each fall. This year's camp
is October 18, 2008. Or, sign up to teach an adult education
class to pass on your "birdy" wisdom!
- Administrative: Assist our staff with filing, data entry, or affixing
labels to checklists.
- Fundraising: Research and/ or write grants. We will train.
Lend your creativity to fundraising events such as the Birdathon
and Holiday Party.
- Public Relations: Help develop media relationships; develop
press releases, media advisories.
